Job Description
Healthcare United is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a full-time, permanent, employed opportunity in central Pennsylvania near Hollidaysburg. Join a team focused on quality, patient safety, and exceptional emergency care.
Share shifts across two regional hospitals, with daily physician assistant or nurse practitioner coverage at both sites. The practice combines a higher-volume tertiary hospital with a smaller community hospital, offering a broad clinical environment and strong advanced practice provider support.
The larger hospital is a 400-bed facility serving approximately 50,000 emergency department patients annually and includes Level III trauma, cardiac, and stroke services. The community hospital has 40 beds, serves approximately 18,000 emergency department patients annually, and offers accredited acute stroke care.
The surrounding region provides access to outdoor recreation, cultural activities, and local air and rail service. This opportunity offers competitive compensation; specific shift lengths, scheduling expectations, and benefit details will be reviewed during the interview process.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
- Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility for licensure.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts at two regional hospitals.
- Commitment to quality, patient safety, and collaborative emergency care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
