Peer Counselor - Forensic Housing Program

Key Responsibilities

This role involves providing voluntary, non-clinical, recovery-focused housing support, advocacy, and coaching to individuals involved in the forensic mental health system who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Responsibilities include conducting outreach to various facilities, completing intake paperwork, coordinating care with other projects, and providing education to maintain community stability.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Washington State Certified Peer Counselor (CPC) or Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification and a Washington State Dept of Health license. A High School diploma or GED is required, and two years of experience as a peer counselor is preferred, along with the ability to pass background checks for local jails and maintain a valid driver's license.
