Ultrasound Imaging Radiologist

The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a board certified/board eligible, fellowship trained. Ultrasound Imaging Radiologist to join them as an Assistant or Associate Professor in a dynamic clinician-educator role with a tenure track.

The ideal candidate will have a desire to participate in the academic activities of the division and will lead didactic teaching sessions for residents and medical students as needed.

Requirements

Successful candidates for this position must hold an MD or equivalent degree with experience in ultrasound and ultrasound guided procedures. Candidates must also be board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology. Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of South Carolina is also required.

(Infrequent) Ability to lower objects, up to 15 lbs., from height of 36 inches to floor level, unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to push/pull objects, up to 15 lbs., unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.

(Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand. (Frequent) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Frequent) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities.
