Responsibilities Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers intensive residential treatment services within a secure setting. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of youth ages 7- 17 who are experiencing emotional, psychiatric and educational difficulties.
This position offers weekends off. Work with UHS in Portsmouth, Virginia.
The Psychiatrist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health and substance use disorders through comprehensive psychiatric care. They provide clinical leadership, manage medication, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.
Candidates must hold an M.D. degree and possess a current Physician License from the State of Virginia. Applicants are required to be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry, with active CPR and Handle with Care certifications.
