School-Based Mental Health Therapist – School-Based Health Center (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LMFT)

No Weekends | No On-Call | Full-Time | Year-Round

Location: Grant High School/Grant, MI

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Family Health Care is seeking a School-Based Mental Health Therapist to join our School-Based Health Center team at Grant High School in Grant, Michigan.

This full-time, year-round position provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children and adolescents within a school setting. As part of an integrated healthcare team, you will collaborate with medical providers and support staff to help improve access to behavioral health services through prevention, assessment, intervention, treatment planning, referral, and follow-up care for youth ages 5–21.

What You'll Do

Provide comprehensive behavioral health services to children and adolescents ages 5–21 within a School-Based Health Center

Conduct behavioral health screenings, assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions

Deliver evidence-based individual, and group interventions as appropriate

Support youth experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns through prevention, intervention, education, referral, and care coordination

Collaborate with students, families, school personnel, healthcare providers, and community partners to promote positive health outcomes

  • Participate in health promotion, prevention, and outreach activities within the school and community
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Comply with professional, ethical, and mandated reporting requirements
  • Contribute as an active member of an integrated multidisciplinary care team

Qualifications

Required

Master's degree in

  • Social Work
  • Counseling
  • Marriage and Family Therapy

Current Michigan licensure as

  • LMSW or LLMSW
  • LPC or LLPC
  • LMFT
  • Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills
