Why Join Us

Detroit Medical Center is expanding its Interventional Radiology program under new clinical leadership with a clear mission: improve patient access, strengthen service lines, and meet growing procedural demand across one of Michigan's most dynamic health systems.

You'll join a collaborative team of IRs and PAs backed by a network of Level I, II, and III trauma centers, giving you both breadth of case mix and depth of institutional support.

DMC's 155-year legacy in Detroit reflects a genuine commitment to serving a diverse, high-acuity urban population — and your work here will have immediate, meaningful impact. An enhanced sign-on bonus makes this an especially compelling opportunity for the right candidate.

Position Highlights

  • Primary site: Huron Valley–Sinai Hospital, a Level III trauma community hospital in Commerce Township, MI
  • System hospitals: Harper University (Level I), Detroit Receiving (Level I), Sinai-Grace (Level II), and Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan
  • Schedule: On-site Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM; schedules posted 90 days in advance
  • Call: Participation in IR call rotation across DMC hospitals
  • Team: 4–5 Interventional Radiologists and 4 IR Physician Assistants
  • Procedure mix: Vascular, non-vascular, oncology, women's health, MSK and spine, and emergency interventions
  • Teaching: Participation in resident and medical student education
  • Employment type: Full-time, employed position

What We Offer

  • Enhanced sign-on bonus for qualified candidates
  • Fellowship Stipend – Earn While You Learn
  • Opportunities to lead quality initiatives, projects, and educational programs
  • Subspecialty-rich group environment spanning neuroradiology, MSK, body imaging, pediatric radiology, nuclear medicine, breast imaging, emergency radiology, and more

Candidate Requirements

  • Board certified in IR/DR through the American Board of Radiology (ABR)

  • Commitment to patient-centered, service-oriented care
  • Interest in resident and medical student education
