Psychiatrist - Older Adult Assessment & Stabilization Service (OASIS)

Key Responsibilities

The Psychiatrist will be clinically responsible for assigned patients, managing admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, daily care, and discharge, including medication management and referrals to specialized services. This role also involves providing ongoing supervision, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and completing high-quality documentation for patient records.

Requirements

Candidates must be a Psychiatrist specializing in Geriatrics, certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPS) (C) or equivalent, and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Experience with complex geropsychiatric disorders and comorbid substance use disorders is preferred, alongside strong collaboration and critical thinking skills.
