Job Description

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Department Director and the Manager, the Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy services to patients in accordance with accepted respiratory therapy practices and established Departmental and Hospital standards of care.

1. To qualify for this position, the candidate must be registered through the National Board of Respiratory Care.

2. Candidates must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

3. Certification per unit specific competency (i. e. BLS, CPI, etc.).

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and hospital standards. They work under the supervision of the Department Director and Manager to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements

Candidates must be registered through the National Board of Respiratory Care and licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Additionally, they must hold unit-specific certifications such as BLS and CPI.
