Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist is a skilled member of the health care team and provides occupational therapy services to patients through the use of initial assessments, physical gains, occupational therapy procedures and interventions in accordance with the established policies and procedures in the hospital and applicable law.

1. Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy, BS or MS degree.

2. Licensed or licensure eligible as an Occupational Therapist by State of Texas.

3. Certification level courses (ACLS, BLS, NRP, etc.) as per department specific competencies.

The Occupational Therapist provides direct patient care through initial assessments and the implementation of therapeutic procedures. They function as a skilled member of the healthcare team to ensure interventions align with hospital policies and legal standards.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Applicants are required to be licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Texas.
