Job Description
- 1. Set up, initiate, and maintain oxygen therapy as prescribed
- 2. Set up and monitor non-invasive respiratory monitoring equipment
- 3. Perform bronchial hygiene procedures in accordance with department protocols
- 4. Assist with the administration of respiratory medications as ordered by physicians
- 5. Perform routine respiratory therapy checks and document all care provided in the patient’s medical record and electronic medical record (EMR)
- 6. Disassemble, clean, and prepare respiratory therapy equipment for sterilization
- 7. Communicate relevant patient care information to physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapy staff
- 8. Assist with oxygen initiation and follow-up care
- 9. Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
