Ideal Eye is seeking a full-time floating Optometrist to support established practices across North Austin, Texas. This flexible opportunity is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, values patient-centered care, and wants to make a meaningful impact in multiple communities. New graduates are welcome, and the practice is looking to fill this role as soon as possible.

What you'll do

As a floating Optometrist, you’ll provide full-scope optometric care to patients of all ages and support five Ideal Eye practices: Hewitt Vision in Hewitt, Belton Vision in Belton, Wildflower in Temple, Killeen Vision in Killeen, and Cove Vision in Copperas Cove. You’ll perform comprehensive eye exams, care for patients with diverse visual and medical needs, educate patients about their ocular health, recommend vision-enhancing products, and help ensure a consistent, high-quality patient experience across five locations. This role may include Monday through Friday shifts of up to eight hours and Saturday shifts of up to six hours, with up to 40 total hours weekly depending on location needs.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities

Doctor of Optometry degree, O. D., including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions
