Licensed Professional Counselor – Newport News Flexible Full-Time Schedule Monday - Friday with Rotating Saturday or Tuesday - Saturday “Recovery Works gave me the strength to believe in myself again. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the clinical team in patient care decisions and attend all clinical meetings.

Assess counseling needs and conduct substance abuse evaluations using DSM criteria and ASAM guidelines.

Prepare and implement the counseling portion of the patient’s treatment plan.

Provide counseling services specified in the treatment plan, including individual counseling, group therapy, and family sessions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work from an accredited college or university (as required by Virginia regulations).

Minimum of three (3) years in substance use treatment, mental health counseling, or a related field.

Must hold licensure per 12VAC30
