Occupational Hand Therapist

Key Responsibilities

The Occupational Hand Therapist will develop and plan treatment for patients with injuries or diseases affecting muscles, nerves, joints, and bones, adhering strictly to physician recommendations and protocols. Responsibilities include assisting patients from the elbow down to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability, sometimes requiring physical assistance with patient transport or positioning.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an active Iowa Occupational Therapist license or be in the process of obtaining one, along with current or pending Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credentials. Essential soft skills include professional communication and active listening to effectively interact with patients and physicians.
