The Medical Provider will be responsible for treating patients suffering from addiction or substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, stimulants, and benzodiazepines, utilizing Medication Assisted Treatment and behavioral health services. Responsibilities include seeing patients both in the clinic setting and via telehealth, and administering intramuscular medication by injection.
Applicants must be a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in New Mexico, with a willingness to help underserved populations and learn new concepts. No prior addiction medicine experience is necessary, though experience in Emergency Room, Primary Care, or Psychiatry is helpful.
