The Specialty Pharmacist is responsible for performing the duties of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring strict adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and Board of Pharmacy regulations. Key duties include engaging in consultation with prescribers and patients regarding pharmaceutical care, managing drug inventory, and leading pharmacy technicians.
A minimum requirement is a BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm D, coupled with at least one year of experience as a Pharmacist in a clinic, alternate site, or home health pharmacy service. A current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the applicable state(s) is mandatory, with multi-state licensure required if services span multiple states.
