Schedule Details/Additional Information

  • Coverage Expectations - Staff extended-hours clinic appointments.
  • Monday-Thursday 5am-7pm seeing prenatal appointments only.

Pay Range

$51.05 - $76.60

Education/Experience

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program, Master's degree preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, And/or REGISTRATION

  • Current applicable state Medical Board Medical License
  • Certified by NCCPA

Essential Functions

  • Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.
  • Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.

Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.

  • Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines

Key Responsibilities

The hospitalist will provide prenatal care and manage patient care plans within an extended-hours clinic setting. Responsibilities include ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting laboratory results, and collaborating with the medical team to ensure effective patient outcomes.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold a current state medical license. Certification by the NCCPA is required, and a Master's degree is preferred.
