Key Responsibilities

• In the Hospital Setting (Inpatient Units): 1.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for medically ill inpatients referred for mental health concerns (e. g., depression, anxiety, psychosis, delirium).

• Diagnose and manage delirium, including hypoactive and hyperactive types.

• Assess capacity for medical decision-making and determine whether patients can consent to or refuse treatment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school and residency program

• Licensure to practice medicine in Washington State as a Physician

• Board certification in psychiatry required

• Board certification in consult-liaison psychiatry sub-specialty preferred
