Job description
Position Summary: Provides respiratory care services to patients with disorders
of the cardiopulmonary system. Under qualified medical direction, performs
diagnostic testing, therapeutics, monitoring, and rehabilitation. Participates
in the development of patient’s appropriate plans of care in conjunction with
physicians and other members of the health care team. Partakes in research
projects, preceptor for students and new orientees; conducts patient and family
education activities.
Experience: 1-3 years critical care experience
Education: Graduate of approved Respiratory Program, Completed 62 semester hours
of college credit, Bachelors Degree desirable.
Required License / Credentials: New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner
License, Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board of
Respiratory Care; BLS required, ACLS, PALS, Perinatal / Pediatric Specialty
desirable.
Other Required Skills: Strong computer skills ie: Windows, Word, Meditech.
Contact With Others: Contacts with other departments, furnishing or obtaining
information or reports, requiring tact and discretion in order to obtain
cooperation.
Supervision Given: None
Supervision Received: Works under general supervision in performing routine
assignments, referring unusual or more difficult situations to immediate
supervisor.
Bi-Weekly Hours: 72 (7 am - 7 pm) every 3rd weekend
The minimum starting rate for this position is $37.82

Requirements
Requires a New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner License and Registered Respiratory Therapist credential. Candidates must have 1-3 years of critical care experience and a graduate degree from an approved respiratory program.
