Position Details

• Position: Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant
• Location: Central Florida
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
• Call: Minimum 1:4, including one weekend/month

About the Opportunity

Join a growing cardiac surgery team with Florida Heart and Lung Institute. The position offers hands-on cardiothoracic surgical responsibilities within a team of two cardiothoracic surgeons and five APPs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgery APP support.
• Perform surgical first-assist duties.
• Participate in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting.
• Support inpatient and operative cardiac surgery care.
• Participate in shared call responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Board certified Physician Assistant.
• Surgical First Assist experience required.
• Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience required.
• Advanced heart failure experience with LVAD, Impella, ECMO or heart transplant is a bonus.
