The Speech Pathologist consults with physicians to establish goals for the treatment plan and administers various tests to evaluate deficits in speech, language, cognition, and swallowing. They are responsible for determining and implementing individual patient treatment programs based on these evaluations.
Candidates must possess a current California Speech and Language Pathology license, a CCC certificate from ASHA, and a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Card from the American Heart Association. Preferred experience includes one year in an acute care hospital setting, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
