Make a Difference
The Ambulatory Triage Registered Nurse functions as a member of the Noblesville Internal Medicine Care team, conducting duties such as phone triage, patient education, scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, prescription refill, referrals, care coordination, and other related tasks as needed. There may be an opportunity for this position to move to a hybrid schedule. The nurse will work onsite in the office located on the north side in Noblesville, Indiana.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Three years or more of nursing experience required.
- Previous medical office/outpatient experience preferred.
- Phone triage experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent team skills.
- Compassionate and caring.
- Accountable and self-directed.
- EPIC experience a plus.
Key Responsibilities
The Ambulatory Triage Registered Nurse performs phone triage, patient education, and care coordination within an internal medicine team. Additional duties include scheduling appointments, managing prior authorizations, and handling prescription refills.
Requirements
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a valid Indiana Registered Nurse license. A minimum of three years of nursing experience is required, with preference given to those with outpatient or phone triage experience.
