PT INFECTION CONTROL NURSE

Responsibilities

We are pleased to announce the following available position: PT Infection Control/Employee Health Nurse

This position is responsible for overseeing infection control and overseeing employee health for the hospital as the Employee Health and Infection Control Nurse.

The Employee Health role of the position oversees the employee health program, ensures that the employee health files are properly maintained and conducts the annual employee health fairs.

The Infection Control role of the position oversees the infection control program for the facility and is responsible for conducting infection control rounds, identifying potential infection control issues, conducting staff education related to infection prevention, reviewing and updating Infection Control policies as needed and analyzing infection control data and making recommendations to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse within the State of Florida. Education and experience must be equivalent to an Associate of Science in Nursing, but a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Prefer at least 1 year of Infection Control experience. Prefer two (2) years in psychiatric nursing and prefer at least 1-year Staff Education experience. Also, this individual must be certified in APIC Infection Control or willing to complete this within the first year.
