Job Details: Job Location: Buffalo, NY - Buffalo, NY, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $575000.00 - $600000.00Salary/year, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Health Care, Join us as a Total Joint Surgeon in Buffalo, NY. Seeking an experienced candidate to join UBMD Orthopedics and Sports Medicine physicians, APPs, and a full compliment of RNs and support staff. Position Highlights: Access to Mako and Rosa robot systems Outpatient surgery center located on hospital campus Dedicated block time with anesthesia coverage Work in supportive environment with access to referring PCPs and specialists Robust onboarding, marketing, and physician outreach support Strong clinical and administrative support Full-time schedule Duties include: Provide clinical care for adult reconstruction patients along with multiple Fellowship-trained partners Primary and Revision arthroplasty, infections, periprosthetic fracture Participate in Medical Student, Resident, and Fellow education, and departmental Grand Rounds Participate in smaller Adult Reconstruction conferences and journal clubs Paid call at level 2 hospitals with ability to “hand-off” cases to subspecialty-trained partners Research opportunities Work in partnership with over 30 ancillary service lines Compensation & Benefits: Starting salary range $575,000-600,000 RVU productivity in addition to salary Sign on bonus and relocation assistance available Paid PTO and holidays CME allowance and paid days off Health and retirement benefits Employer paid occurrence-based malpractice insurance Qualifications:
- MD/DO
- Clear and active state medical license
- Residency and fellowship in surgery preferred
- BC/BE preferred
- Willing to relocate to Buffalo, NY area
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical care for adult reconstruction patients, including primary and revision arthroplasty and fracture management. Participate in medical education for students, residents, and fellows, and engage in departmental research and conferences.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and possess a clear, active state medical license. Completion of a surgical residency and fellowship is preferred, along with board certification or eligibility.
