Job Description
The Pharmacist, compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs in a healthcare facility environment, transfers prescriptions, provides drug information in collaboration to other healthcare professionals, performs medication order entry into the computer, monitors patient profiles for appropriate medication use oversees the work of the support staff and documents any relevant intervention.
The position is expected to meet state certifications, requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Pharmacist compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs, transfers prescriptions, and provides drug information in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. This role also involves medication order entry, monitoring patient profiles, overseeing support staff, and documenting relevant interventions.
Requirements
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy and possess Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Licensure (RPH). The position requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
