Job Description
Plans and directs the clinical and operational activities of the Pharmacy
Department. Establish programs to provide pharmaceutical care; assist with the supervision of the Pharmacy staff in an effort to ensure appropriate drug utilization; provide consultative services to the medical staff regarding pharmacotherapy. Reports to Clinical Pharmacy Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Pharmacist plans and directs the clinical and operational activities of the Pharmacy Department while establishing programs for pharmaceutical care. They also provide consultative services to medical staff regarding pharmacotherapy and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure appropriate drug utilization.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, possess a valid Mississippi pharmacist license, and have at least three years of clinical expertise. Completion of a clinical residency or equivalent training is required, along with the ability to manage diverse patient populations.
