Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Key Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist provides diagnostic and therapeutic speech and language services to students with communication disorders and serves as a consultant to staff regarding service implementation. Responsibilities include assisting teachers with language curriculum, monitoring classroom programs, attending IEP meetings, and providing direct individual or group therapy.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid speech-language pathologist license issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Experience working in a special needs school environment is preferred.
