How you’ll contribute
A Pharmacist Who Excels in This Role
- Verifies physician medication orders with accuracy and timeliness
- Monitors and evaluates the six critical processes of medication management; determines risk points and is an active participant with physicians and clinical staff in continuous quality and performance improvement
- Verifies and approves the work of Pharmacy Technician(s)
- Orders and stores medications, keeping them safe and effective
- Monitors drug therapy for appropriateness and promotes/ evaluates rational drug therapy that improves pharmaceutical care. Performs anticoagulant monitoring
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. Additional
requirements include:
- BS Pharm or Pharm D degree required, accredited clinical residency preferred
- Must hold a current state license to practice pharmacy
- Two years’ experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities
The pharmacist is responsible for verifying physician medication orders and monitoring medication management processes to ensure patient safety. They also supervise pharmacy technicians and participate in continuous quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a BS Pharm or Pharm D degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and possess a current state license. Two years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
