Patient Care Counselor

Key Responsibilities

The Patient Care Counselor ensures patients fully understand all aspects of their surgical procedures, including educating them on various implant lens options like Clear Lens Exchange, presbyopic, and astigmatic correcting lenses. Responsibilities also include executing consultations, scheduling, performing preliminary testing, and managing pre- and post-operative patient communication and documentation.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in ambulatory surgery and knowledge of medical terminology being preferred. Essential competencies include excellent organization, clear verbal and written communication skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
