DevotedDOc is a physician-led virtual medical group expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based medical care through telehealth.

Our clinicians provide care across a growing portfolio of general and specialty virtual-care programs, including addiction and recovery medicine, preventive and sexual health, weight management, and general telemedicine.

We are expanding our national physician network and are particularly interested in experienced telehealth physicians who are already comfortable practicing independently in a virtual-care environment.

The Opportunity

DevotedDOc is seeking MD and DO physicians with an active DEA registration to join our growing telehealth network.

This opportunity is particularly well suited for physicians who are currently practicing telemedicine, hold licenses in multiple states, and are comfortable evaluating and treating patients with opioid use disorder, including the clinically appropriate prescribing of buprenorphine-containing medications for medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD).

Physicians may also have opportunities to participate in additional DevotedDOc clinical programs based on experience, licensure, and interest.

Our ideal candidate is capable of delivering efficient, compassionate, evidence-based virtual care across multiple states and service lines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations through secure telehealth visits
• Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder when clinically appropriate

Initiate, continue, adjust, and monitor buprenorphine-containing medications for MOUD in accordance with clinical guidelines and applicable federal and state requirements

Review medical histories, prescription monitoring data, medications, laboratory results, and other relevant clinical information

• Develop evidence-based treatment and follow-up plans
• Order appropriate laboratory testing, medications, imaging, referrals, and follow-up care
• Provide patient education regarding treatment, medication safety, recovery, harm reduction, and follow-up
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Follow applicable telemedicine, controlled-substance, prescribing, and clinical requirements
• Collaborate with DevotedDOc clinical and operational teams to support continuity of care
• Participate in additional virtual-care programs based on physician experience and interest

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license

Active DEA Registration

• Comfortable prescribing and managing buprenorphine-containing medications for opioid use disorder when clinically indicated
• Familiarity with MOUD principles and appropriate follow-up of patients receiving buprenorphine
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently within established clinical protocols

Excellent Patient Communication and Documentation Skills

• Comfortable using electronic medical records, e-prescribing systems, prescription monitoring programs, and virtual-care technology
• Strongly Preferred

We Are Especially Interested in Physicians Who Have

• Current or recent experience practicing telemedicine
• Active medical licenses in multiple U.S. states
• Experience providing high-volume virtual or outpatient care
• Current experience treating opioid use disorder and prescribing buprenorphine
• Experience with addiction medicine, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, or primary care
• Experience practicing across multiple state regulatory environments
• Additional controlled-substance registrations or the ability to obtain additional registrations as required
• Experience with PrEP, PEP, sexual health, weight management, or other virtual-care service lines

Formal addiction medicine board certification is not required. We are looking for clinically capable physicians who are comfortable treating opioid use disorder and practicing within evidence-based MOUD protocols.

Multi-State Physicians

Physicians holding multiple active state medical licenses are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates currently providing telehealth services across several states are particularly well aligned with this opportunity.
