This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, while aligning with the organization's strategic objectives.

The Behavioral Health Controller will work closely with management to provide financial insights that drive decision-making and support the growth and sustainability of behavioral health services.

Position Responsibilities: Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational goals. Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the behavioral health division, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives. Monitor financial performance by analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic planning and decision-making. Manage and mentor the finance team within the behavioral health division, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits, addressing any findings or recommendations. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the division's assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Stay informed about industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact financial operations, adapting strategies as necessary. Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred. CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.

Required Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or accounting within the healthcare or behavioral health industry. Proven track record of managing financial operations and budgeting processes. Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies and policies.

Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

Proficiency in financial software and tools such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve organizational goals. High level of integrity and ethical standards in financial reporting and management.
