Key Responsibilities
- Completes assessments of patients and performs an analysis based on objective, subjective and functional findings.
- Establishes realistic, measurable and time limited therapy goals and develops treatment plan.
- Ensures that speech-language therapy treatments are initiated with the informed consent of the patient or substitute decision maker in accordance with the Health Care Consent Act.
- Provides direct treatment and/or support and teaching to informal caregivers, school personnel and other health care professionals involved.
Requirements
- Language Pathology (Essential) Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech
- Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) (Essential) Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a Speech
- based visits on a daily basis is required. (Essential) Bilingualism (French/English) (Preferred) Timeline may be extended or shortened based on operational needs
