The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for collaborating with staff to lead special education students to learning success by developing, modifying, providing, and assessing specialized instruction aligned with Pennsylvania Common Core Standards. Essential duties include designing coherent instruction, managing student behavior, assessing learning, and coordinating the delivery of special education services outlined in each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Candidates must possess valid Pennsylvania certification in Special Education for the relevant grade levels and demonstrate knowledge of Special Education principles, laws, and assessment practices. Strong instructional, classroom management, organizational skills, and the ability to utilize data for differentiated instruction are required.
