Job Description

Position Summary

Radiology Associates of Florida, a Radiology Partners practice, is seeking a full-time Breast Radiologist to support our growing practice in Tampa, FL.

This position offers a heavy concentration of Breast Imaging (at least 90%, and up to 100% for interested candidates) supporting our high-volume, outpatient practices across Tampa.

Candidates interested in maintaining proficiency with their non-subspecialty general diagnostic skills will have the option to participate in general diagnostic shifts and emergency call, if desired.

The ideal candidate can expect a heavy concentration in dedicated breast imaging, including ultrasound and stereotactic- and MRI-guided breast biopsies. Our practice is fully 3D, including stereotactic biopsies. A desire to work in a collaborative environment with local surgeons, pathologists, and oncologists is required.

This is a full time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, partnership-track-eligible position. Onsite position with remote shifts shared equally between all full-time associates and partners. If interested, this position has the opportunity to teach radiology residents in partnership the University of South Florida (not required).

We offer an excellent and highly competitive compensation package to include internal moonlighting opportunities, a full range of benefits, 10 weeks PTO for partners, a 401K and medical malpractice plus tail coverage. A sign-on bonus is also expected.

Local Practice and Community Overview

RAF is the largest radiology practice in Florida. We serve the most prestigious, established health systems in the state, including on the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys.

Since our beginnings more than 50 years ago, we’ve enjoyed tremendous growth while keeping a commitment to superior service for our longtime partner hospitals. Our scale affords our practice stability and affords our radiologists flexibility in study mix and scheduling.

We also recognize that scale alone does not beget excellence. We are quality-oriented, and we practice radiology at the cutting edge, encouraging subspecialty-level interpretations across the practice, and facilitating collaboration and consultation between our radiologists.

Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS across the practice, AI tools, and integrated doc-to-doc communication widgets.

Our practice is locally and democratically led, with decisions vested in the hands of the group at large, rather than in a few founders or a small group of shareholders. We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa.

In Sarasota, our physicians staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years. We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments.

Our diverse group of radiologists work and socialize together in our communities around Florida. Even between our communities across the state, we are one practice. We have a vibrant mix of highly experienced radiologists, as well as emerging leaders in our large cohort of early-career radiologists. We look forward to letting you get to know us better!
