School Social Worker - School

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker to support students within a dynamic school district in Carlsbad, NM. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your social work expertise while playing a vital role in the academic and emotional success of students.

In this role, you'll provide direct support to students facing psychological, emotional, or social challenges that may impact their ability to thrive in the school environment. If you're driven to help students overcome barriers and improve their overall well-being, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess students with emotional, mental health, or social service needs

• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective support plans

• Coordinate care services, provide referrals, and maintain communication among stakeholders

• Serve as an advocate for students while fostering a safe and inclusive school environment

• Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with school policies and ethical standards

Requirements

• Active New Mexico PED License/Certification required.

• New Mexico Licensed Social Worker with a valid School Social Work Certification

• Current BLS/CPR certification

• Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience within the last 5 years
