Description

This full-time, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity to provide specialized foot and ankle care within a supportive, patient-centered medical practice environment.

As our Nurse Practitioner specializing in Podiatry, you will play an essential role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of podiatric conditions, from routine foot care to more complex chronic issues. You will work collaboratively with our team to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care that improves patient mobility and quality of life. Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with podiatric conditions, including foot and ankle disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
Prescribe medications, orthotics, and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
Perform routine podiatric procedures, such as nail care, wound care, and minor surgical interventions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays and laboratory studies, to inform treatment decisions.
Educate patients on preventive foot care, wound prevention, and management of chronic conditions such as diabetes.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
Stay current with advances in podiatric medicine and evidence-based practices.
Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.

Requirements

Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and certification in good standing.
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
Associate-level experience (1-3 years) in a clinical setting, preferably in podiatry, family medicine, or a related specialty.
Strong knowledge of podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment protocols.
Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and team members.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a healthcare team.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and standard medical documentation practices.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Schedule: 4x 10-hour shifts per week
No call requirement

Setting: Outpatient

Patient Volume: 15 per day

Required Procedures: Nail avulsions, matrixectomy, injections (corticosteroid/local anesthetic), I&D of abscesses, casting/splinting, and application of offloading devices

Support Staff: Podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, and primary care providers

Will practice independently with some supervision

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified
