The Physical Therapist Assistant provides and monitors therapy services to patients under the supervision of a physical therapist to improve their quality of life. Responsibilities include implementing therapeutic activities, documenting patient responses, and assisting with admissions and discharges in a skilled nursing facility.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program and hold a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of employment.
