Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join our team at Iowa Ortho and provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Occupational Medicine capacity. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while also supporting Occupational Medicine services.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, patient-focused clinician who values clinical excellence, strong communication, and helping patients achieve meaningful functional outcomes. Previous Occupational Medicine experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care based on functional needs and clinical findings.
• Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions designed to improve function, mobility, strength, and quality of life.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Perform specialized evaluations and assessments as indicated.
• Perform Occupational Medicine assessments, as applicable, to evaluate functional abilities, physical tolerances, and ability to safely perform work-related activities.
• Prepare timely and comprehensive documentation and reports related to patient care and FCE findings.
• Communicate evaluation findings and recommendations with patients, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, safety, and functional goals.

Collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants, support staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.

Maintain compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, clinic policies, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, active and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state of employment.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Occupational Medicine experience preferred.
• Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug screening.
