Key Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant prepares patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests and documenting medical history in electronic records. They also assist physicians with clinical procedures, maintain exam rooms, and perform various clerical duties to support office operations.
Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited medical assisting program. Current certification from a recognized body such as AAMA, NCCT, or AMT is required, along with AHA BLS certification.
