Job Description

Education and Credentials

Required

Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assisting and/or certification as a Medical Assistant or completion of a Paramedic degree or certification program. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date.

Catawba Valley Medical Center offers a wide range of services from experienced medical specialists capable of addressing virtually any healthcare concern. Our current hospital holds 258 beds and serves the five-county Hickory area. Through our skilled medical practitioners and our highly trained staff, we strive to provide the highest level of medical expertise using the latest, state-of-the-art technology available.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of clinical and administrative duties to support medical office outpatients. Assist physicians or mid-level providers with outcome-based patient care as part of a team.

Requirements

Requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or certification as a Medical Assistant or Paramedic. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association is required within three months of employment.
