Nurse Practitioner

Join Remedy Behavioral Health as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Alabama in Alabama. The Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric) provides direct behavioral health care to adults, adolescents, and children in outpatient and facility-based settings. This role integrates psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and patient education into compassionate, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and comprehensive assessments to diagnose and manage behavioral health disorders.

• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement and the Alabama Nurse Practice Act.

• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, clinical findings, and best practices.

• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and facility staff to ensure coordinated and integrated care.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMHNP or equivalent).

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) license in Alabama.

• Current DEA registration and Alabama Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).

• Minimum of 1–2 years of psychiatric or behavioral health clinical experience preferred.
