Join Inova Health System as a Mental Health Counselor – Adolescent Behavioral Health, Day Shift in Fairfax, Virginia, United States. The Inova Kellar Center is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join the team! Inova Kellar Center's comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs and an innovative special education school support families throughout Northern Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
The counselor assesses patient mental and physical well-being to formulate and implement effective treatment goals. They also provide crisis intervention, maintain medical records, and facilitate psychoeducational programming within the clinical milieu.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field and obtain Basic Life Support and CPI certifications. Previous experience working with adolescent patients and those with acute mental illness is strongly preferred.
