Job Description
This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality anesthesia care within a dynamic medical practice environment. As a Nurse Anesthetist, you will play a critical role in delivering safe and effective anesthesia services to patients across a variety of surgical procedures.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will be essential in preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative care. This position offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical and medical procedures
- Perform preoperative patient assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
- Manage airway and ventilation during anesthesia
- Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgical teams and anesthesiologists
- Document anesthesia records and patient progress accurately
- Provide postoperative pain management and follow-up care
- Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies and complications
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
- Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field
- Current CRNA certification and state licensure
- Experience in anesthesiology or surgical settings
- Strong understanding of anesthesia pharmacology and techniques
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and patient safety focus
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
Level II Trauma
Schedule: 8- to 10-hour day shifts
In-house call shifts required
Case Types: Bread-and-butter
