• Base Salary: USD $130,000 – $150,000

Position Overview

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, therapeutic, and appropriate preparation and dispensing of medications. The pharmacist ensures compliance with applicable laws, accreditation standards, health-system policies, and pharmacy best practices while making independent clinical decisions and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications according to pharmacy standards.
• Assess medication orders and make clinical interventions when appropriate.
• Provide medication counseling, patient education, immunizations, and other clinical services as assigned.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and complete quality-assurance activities.
• Lead and direct pharmacy technicians, support staff, students, and interns.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, safety, and confidentiality requirements.
• Safely manage controlled and non-controlled medications.
• Utilize pharmacy information and healthcare IT systems effectively.
• Maintain competency in assigned pharmacy practice areas.
• Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program.
• PharmD or qualifying pharmacy degree.
• Current, active Ohio Pharmacist License.
• Ability to work variable shifts.
• Strong clinical judgment and medication-safety skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Certification: Immunization certification may be required depending on the assigned pharmacy area.
