Join University of Maryland Emergency Medicine as a Outpatient Nurse Practitioner - Neurosurgery in United States. The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Nurse Practitioner for the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • In clinical collaboration with the attending physician, provides day to day organizational and clinical direction and leadership of the healthcare team.
  • Performs comprehensive history and physical assessment for patients admitted/scheduled to service/practice setting.
  • Orders, obtains, and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests.
  • Establishes medical diagnosis based on history, assessment, and diagnostic findings, with MD collaboration as needed.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by an accredited national certifying body (e. g., AANP, ANCC).
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of NP experience preferred; neurosurgery, neurology, or surgical specialty experience is preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
