Key Responsibilities
The Medical Director provides expert medical care, oversees detoxification protocols, and manages patient treatment within the facility's continuum of care. They also supervise nurse practitioners, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Candidates must be a licensed MD or DO with board certification in psychiatry and experience in addiction medicine. Proficiency in ASAM criteria, DEA licensure for controlled substances, and training in Buprenorphine prescribing are required.
