SUD Counselor

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients on an individual and group basis, providing emotional support, active listening, and encouragement throughout their recovery journey.

• Assist clients in identifying personal triggers, coping mechanisms, and relapse prevention strategies.

• Foster a non-judgmental and empathetic atmosphere to promote open communication and trust. Treatment Planning:

• Collaborate with licensed counselors to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients, incorporating their goals, needs, and progress.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field preferred.

• Completion of a recognized chemical dependency counselor assistant training program or relevant certification is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive demeanor with a genuine commitment to helping others.

Work Schedule
