The University of Vermont Medical Center's Golisano Children's Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (FNP/PNP) to join our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team in Burlington, Vermont.
This is an opportunity to care for children, adolescents, and young adults with hematologic and oncologic conditions while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team within Vermont's only children's hospital.
Schedule
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week)
- Four- to five-day work week
- Potential future call requirement
- Some potential weekend requirements
What You'll Do
- Provide outpatient and occasional inpatient care for pediatric hematology and oncology patients in both the clinic and Infusion Center
- Manage follow-up visits, treatment monitoring, including patients enrolled in clinical trials, and symptom management
- Perform occasional procedures based on education, training, and experience
- Review and order chemotherapy protocols
- Educate patients and families throughout their care journey
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members
- Participate in telemedicine visits as appropriate

Experience
- Pediatric Hematology/Oncology APP experience preferred
- Pediatric and/or Oncology RN experience preferred
- New graduate Nurse Practitioners with relevant pediatric and/or oncology experience will be considered
- Strong interest in caring for pediatric patients and families
- Commitment to collaborative, patient- and family-centered care
Education & Licensure Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program
- Current National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP)
- Active Vermont APRN license or eligibility for Vermont licensure
- Eligibility for New York licensure
- Eligibility for prescriptive authority
- Eligibility for DEA licensure
Telemedicine
Telemedicine is a component of this role. Providers must be eligible to obtain both Vermont and New York licensure to support virtual care for patients located in New York.

Key Responsibilities
