Physician - Hyperbaric Treatment Center

Join University Health Partners of Hawaii as a Physician - Hyperbaric Treatment Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Full-time position at our clinic located at Kuakini Medical Center. The facility provides Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for patients with indications for routine, urgent, and emergent hyperbaric oxygen.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides medical supervision of chamber treatments for diving disorders and for non-diving related HBO therapy, including critically ill emergent cases.

• When assigned to on-call coverage must be available to be onsite within 30 minutes of notification.

• Provides wound care oversight, including, where appropriate, limited sharp debridement, management of negative pressure wound therapy, and other advanced wound care techniques.

• Other miscellaneous duties may include: participating in on-going HTC research projects; providing medical advice to divers and the dive community; performing medical consultations and referrals

Requirements

• Have a working knowledge of all applicable hyperbaric safety codes and maintain the system in compliance with Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Society (UHMS) accreditation standards.

• Participates in HTC training and safety drills.

• Medical Degree from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.

• Possession of or ability to obtain an unrestricted Medical License in the State of Hawaii
