Per Diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Key Responsibilities

The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider will provide appropriate medical care to newborn patients across L&D, the newborn nursery, and the intensive care unit, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained for all treated patients. This role includes performing necessary procedural tasks such as PPV, intubation, central lines, and chest tubes, while collaborating on policy development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Illinois, along with Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance Licenses, and have completed an accredited pediatric residency or Master's level program. Required certifications include BLS, NRP, and specialty certification (NCC for NNP or completion of a neonatal PA fellowship), with 5+ years of preferred experience in IP Newborn, Pediatric, Immediate Care, or Pediatric ED settings.
