Job Description
Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a Hematologist-Medical Oncologist to join our staff.
- Salary Range: $625,000 - $708,000
- Sign-on Bonus: up to $200,000
- Fellowship Stipend: up to $60,000 available
- Location: Oneonta, NY
Job Description & Responsibilities
The Bassett Regional Cancer Program has been continuously accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center since 1947 and the American Society of Clinical Oncology since 2021.
The program is also a member of the ECOG-ACRIN with close to 30 years of participation in NCI and sponsored clinical trials.
The program has a collaborative and multidisciplinary model, which includes onsite Radiation Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Pathologists and Radiologists, including an active weekly tumor board.
The program has a comprehensive support team that includes Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Financial Counselors, a Nutritionist and Palliative Care Practitioners. Join an established group of Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians

Compensation
Salary Range: $625,000 - $708,000 based on a 4-day work week.
This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

Key Responsibilities
The physician will provide hematology and medical oncology care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary model at a comprehensive community cancer center. Responsibilities include participating in weekly tumor boards and managing both outpatient and dedicated inpatient oncology cases.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an MD, DO, or MBBS degree and be board certified or board eligible in Hematology-Oncology. Completion of an accredited USA fellowship and possession of a valid NYS medical license are required.
